New owner: 2020 MDX A-Spec

Hi All! Taking delivery of my 2020 AMDX A-SPEC (White ext./Ebony int.) this weekend, very excited!
Looking for recommendations and suggestions on some of the first things I should do (if anything) to get the most out of it.
To start, I am updating some of the interior lighting to LED (floor, door, hatch, reverse).
Anything else to consider?

Thanks, and looking forward to interacting with you all!

Congrats on the new ride! What other mods do you have planned down the road?

I did the front foot well floor LED upgrade. Ended up blowing a fuse with the upgrade and had no interior lights. Probably wouldn't have blown the fuse if I disconnected the battery. I didn't have to disconnect the battery for my 06 TSX, 08 RDX, or 11 MDX with interior LED upgrades. I think it was a mini brown 7.5 amp located by the driver's foot well fuse box? I also did the Acura puddle light on the doors. They were plug-in-play and I had to bend the contacts a little bit to make good contact with the connector. Folks think the logo projectors are the coolest thing ever.

I also added a clear gloss touch screen protector. At certain angle, the touch screen will wash out because of glare. The shinny gloss screen protector cuts the glare much better than matte finish that comes with the touchscreen. Ordered the wrong size and have about of 1/2 inch of uncovered space at the top of my touch screen. The Amazon listing is probably only for the older 14-17 MDX touch screens?

Did the usual window tint, all weather mats, cargo mat, body side molding, cargo net, and cargo cover. Later added clear bra and ceramic coating.

Thanks for the suggestions.
I have the dealer putting on roof rails and I'll buy and install crossbars and a roof basket myself.

Anything else I should be doing?

I have a fathom blue pearl MDX and the paint is very thin on the front leading edge (area above the grill and LEDs). I ended up getting 3 rock strikes down to the gray primer in the first few weeks driving around town on the hwy. I stopped driving the MDX until my clear bra appointment almost 2 weeks later. I clear bra the entire hood, front end, front fenders, LEDs, side view mirrors, and pillars on either side of windshield.

I also painted the calipers red, blacked out the chrome, added Exoshield to front windshield, added adv running boards, full size spare, hitch+harness, ceramic coated the entire MDX & the black Berlina rims, ceramic coated the interior, and added crossbars.

Swap the LX Sport for the Conti LX25’s. Appearance with great performance.

Thanks for the recommendation. I pick up the mdx tomorrow (lease). I've asked them to switch the tires to the LX25s. Waiting to see what they say

First thing I did right after purchasing our 2017 MDX was drive it straight over to guy to do PPF (Paint Protection Film) and tint front windows. After 3 years, the front end looks still look perfect except for minor tear in the film on bottom of front bumper. It did protect the paint from scratches. If you plan on keeping your MDX for awhile PPF should be on your list to do.

Thanks for the recommendation. I'll probably hold off on the paint protection stuff. Since this is a lease, and I know for certain I'll be turning it in at the end, I don't think it's worth it. I will however tint the front windows.

Note: I live in the south south east USA so tint is a necessity.

on my other vehicles, I’ve always used a high quality 3M film installed at a highly reputable local dealer and have been happy. For my black ‘20, he suggested a 30% ceramic film and I will say the clarity is much better than whatever others they have used. And heat rejection is very good too. Check out a ceramic film.
