Maintenance required light?
Hi all. 2020 MDX Tech, 4K miles, 36 month lease. The maintenance required light came on today, oil life is at 14%.
Just wondering what to expect when I take it in. I’m never one to go for the “5,000 mile maintenance.” If it’s time for an oil change, okay, do that and I’ll pay for that but I’m not interested in a bundled service package with a bunch of check this and check that if I don’t need it.
So the question is, given this is a leased car, other than changing the oil, are there certain things I HAVE to do or risk violating the lease? Anyone know or have experience with this? Thank you.

I'm surprised your oil life is only 14% with 4K miles. I've been getting close to 10K miles between oil changes

Burning Brakes
Oil changes and tire rotations are all you really need (most dealerships have coupons on their website). If you plan on keeping the car you should do the rear diff fluid at 15k miles.

I prefer not to have anyone else working on my cars if I can avoid it as I'm going to be way more particular with my vehicles than any service tech ever would be. However, perhaps you're not comfortable taking the service on. There are plenty of solid YouTube videos out there showing you how - perhaps watch some and see if you're comfortable? Or have a buddy who is experienced come over and show you the ropes?
Good luck!

Thanks for the responses. I’m definitely a DIY guy when it comes to certain things (on my 06 GS430, I’ve replaced the drivers door lock actuator motor and also replaced a back bumper sensor), but I leave oil changes and brakes to the dealers.
I’ll check their website for coupons but when I bring it in, I’ll just ask for an oil change and maybe a tire rotation but that’s about it. I’ll also keep in mind the diff fluid change at 15,000 miles. Thanks a lot everyone.
