I changed the oil recently on my 2014 MDX. This was the second oil change for the car. I reset the maintenance light so it read 100%, and it has not moved from 100% since. It has been nearly 1000 miles since the change, and the oil life still reads 100%.
Has anyone else experienced this? I keep track of the mileage so it's not the worst thing, just wondered if I did something wrong resetting it.

 

do you drive mostly highway? the MID isn't linear in how it measures your oil life. how many miles did you get before the MID told you service was due?

OCI intervals can be as little as 4000 miles (with a lot of in town start ups and miles) or as long as 8-9k miles (with a lot of highway driven miles). this is for someone who changes the oil when the MID reaches 15% (when the car first alerts you that service is due soon).
