I lost my 2016 acura mdx, the dealer wanted to charge me $450+.

I bought one from ebay for $75 and had the dealer program for $85,two years a ago. Try this

 

Search ebay. Fobs now days with all the stuff they do are not cheap. You might also check some of the online dealer parts stores for prices.

 

i bought a new one from www.oemacuraparts.com and took it to a local locksmith who charged me $100 to cup and program two keys (valet and #2).

thanks for the advice, actually i forgot to mention i found a great site. saved me about $250..
looks like you were right about getting the key online, just needs to be coded. I guess its not possible for all models, but hey, worked for me.
