LED Fog Lights Installed

I just had the LED Fog lights installed today. They really finish off the front end. Here are a couple of pictures. I will take some tonight that shows how bright they are. Total price installed was $440.

$440 seems like a good price for the bulbs + install.

I was told that was their cost. I worked out the price when I bought my MDX.

I am a bit disappointed. I was expecting the futuristic fogs as pictured in the link attached.

That was an auto-show prototype.

As always, not everything on the prototype will make it into the production model.

I didn't see this in the post anywhere. But are these units Factor (Dealership units) or are they aftermarket models?

I had the foglights installed at the dealer for $369 for the kit + $120 for labor and thought that was a good deal. By the way, I came across the fog light kit online at Amazon for $365 while searching for other accessories.

Hey Free598... How did the install turn out? Any advice

Hey Free598..I'm curious, how did your fog light installation go? Any finished pictures or advice on the install? I plan to do this myself on Friday. I already installed the roof rack, running boards, rear lower sport trim and splash guards ... I can afford to have the dealer install them but, I'm stalling them myself b/c I love tinkering with cars.

Looks like a whole saturday morning project! I used to enjoy those but with kids activities and a wife nagging you about when you're going to be done Ive given those up. Not to mention the where did I put the clip issue and the swearing when something pops out and ends up in an area of the engine compartment you cant reach!

I'm thinking about this as well. Do they really add much light to nighttime driving? Have you had the chance to use them in real fog conditions yet?

^^^^^

Foglights won't help in night time driving, but they shines (literally) when there is fog on the road.

Installed mine today. 3 hours total, and that was taking it easy. It is a chore, but not bad at all.

I'm on the fence about getting the fogs and installing it. Is everyone replacing the combination light switch? Seems like a mission.

The combo switch is included with the kit. You have to change it, unless you can figure out a way to use a separate switch. Changing the combo switch is simple once you get the column cover halves apart. Its putting the 2 halves back together that was a chore. When you get to the combo switch install, its just a couple of screws and pulling panels apart just like the instructions say. I did not have to remove the panel where the start button is located. In retrospect, I don't think you really have to remove the panel to the left of the steering column. It just makes it a bit easier. Taking the bumper off was not bad.

You have to replace the combination light switch, because the fog light "twist" switch is located on the attached light switch stick.
