Electronics killing me....
Hi, new to the forum. I'm not an "enthusiast" so to speak, but I love my 2003 TL and don't love my 2016 MDX.
The MDX has developed a weird problem that I have sort of found in the forums, but not close enough. The drivers seat, after using the #2 FOB to get in the car, reclines ALL THE WAY, every time. Not sure what possible value this could have, if it's a feature we accidently enabled. We don't currently have a FOB 1, looking to get one.
Also, is there a way to disable to extremely annoying "point at the curb" feature for the side view mirrors? I know if the switch is left centered that feature doesn't happen, but it's easy to forget and leave one of the mirrors selected. Who on earth wants to look at the curb when backing up, except on occasion (and you can do it yourself).
It's a good powerful fun car to drive, but some of this electronic crap is too much. I haven't had a lot of newer cars but having to do 2-3 keyboard entries to adjust the AC fan (and a few other features) is really unsafe compared to reaching over and turning a knob. Thanks in advance for any insights.

2) How often are you adjusting your mirrors that you might accidentally leave them in the right or left position? The mirror settings are saved so unless someone new is driving the car you shouldn’t have to ever adjust them. As for why the mirrors point at the curb, it’s so that you can avoid curbing the wheels when parallel parking.
In case you don't know how, move the seat, steering wheel, radio and mirrors to your desired position. On the door you see 3 buttons, one marked 1, one marked 2 and one marked set. Depending on which fob in in the car, press set and the correct button. This locks all your setting into memory. Repeat for the other fobs, but remember to move the programmerd fob to a remote location so the car does not see it. BTW besides the above mentioned the fob will also select radio and HVAC functions you have at the time it is programmed.
you can select how the mirrors work in reverse in the settings. (at least on my 2019) options are no change to the mirrors or pick which mirror will tilt down in reverse. Spend an evening reading the owners manual on operation and settings and how defaults and user selections work.

Thanks for the responses. I guess I figured there was a setting somewhere for the seat reclining. I'll get back in to the owners manual. I guess I'm just a relic, I saw nothing wrong with cable operated operated HVAC controls. Hey, the 70s is calling, they want me back!

I agree that some of the most often used controls for us are not easy to do w/o taking your eyes off the road. by comparison in our Denali truck virtually everything we want to control I can adjust w/o taking my eyes off the road for more than an instant, many w/o even taking my eyes off the road.
Adjusting seat heat and cooling on the denali is easy peasy vs the acura. about the only thing easier on the acura is selecting the audio source vs. my denali.
