Drivers Memory Position

Drivers Memory Position
Do any of you have drivers memory position failure to move? My 2018 Tech has a nearly consistant error, the stearing wheel fails to move into position. After about 30 days in the shop the dealer has finally been able to escilate the issue to engineering. I also found one of the dealer loaners has the same problem. If anyone has experienced this problem even once notify your dealer, start the process. I susp3ct this problem is far more wide spread than Acura wants to admit. And the only way to get it addressed is complaints.

my 2015 does it if I sit in the car for a long time listening to the radio etc., once I turn the car off to accessory. Also if the 2nd FOB isn't set and that person unlocks the door it goes to driver 2. There are a couple other circumstances where it will do it but usually it is fine. A weak battery causes issues too like that. I take the dogs to their groomer and handler once every month or so. Since it is a 55 mile drive each way I sit and wait for them after lunch or shopping. Usually during that time sitting if I get out and back in, start the car to lower the windows etc., it doesn't return.

Well, according to my service manager they found the problem. Apparently the memory seat module is not compatible with the rest of the software. Parts on the way. Maybe this will finally fix it.

That would imply every 2015 has the same issue if it is the way they explained it.

Since mine is a 2018, who knows. But its quite possible that all 3gen MDXs that have had this issue could be effected. My guess this is a secret fix. An engineer got this info from a retired engineer who had this problem once upon a time. Does that give you any ideas?

Our 2017 Sport Hybrid Tech have this issue. It's intermittent though. Happens one out of 10 times I'm in the car. Never happens with my wife's key-fob though, only with my 2nd driver key-fob. Very weird. Dealer can't fix since they can't ever "replicate" the error. I've learned to live with it. Let us know what the fix was so I can bring this up to our service advisor next time.

many cars will lock the doors after a while if they are left running and the fob walks away. Some will lock their doors if the owner leaves the car running with the fob in the car and walks away. Other cars will beep like crazy if you try to leave the fob in the car. My RL would refuse to lock the trunk if a fob was in it.
