Does the TLX launch delay relate to MDX problems?

http://www.leftlanenews.com/acura-de...il-summer.html

"We don't view it as a major delay," Acura spokesperson Chuck Schifsky told Autoblog, noting that there are "lots of systems to get sorted out" in the company's most technologically advanced Acura yet.

the most believable rumor right now; is that the delay is hovering over the ZF series transmissions.
something about not mating up correctly.

What a mess! A few months of not having any competitive sedans to sell and the flagship having lot of issues as reported in this forum (though the latter not reflected in sales numbers yet)!

No need to run around with youre hair on fire. The TLX will be on sale soon enough, in fact its not officially delayed yet, a month is not going to make a difference. The MDX, doesnt have any systemic problems that should affect the TLX nor any other model. Personally I'm waiting for the RLX sport hybrid, if its as polished as they say, it will be the first time the RL will be better than the TL and about time.

Are both MDX and TLX going to have the same DI engine featuring the high pressure fuel pump that is creating nightmares for Acura engineers and headaches for MDX owners?

Im going to have to call BS on this one. None of the DI models in Honda's lineup (all earthdream engines) have demonstrated abnormal reliability issues regarding injection systems.

Relax. I'm referring to the fuel pump. Many 3G MDX owners are developing whistling noises when accelerating.

lol.

if you follow the other TLX threads, you'll find that it is confirmed that the ZF trannies are having a mating problem.

the delay has nothing to do with the engine, or DI, or Pressure fuel pump.

Nope. Nice try back pedaling, though. You replied to a thread twice without even realizing. Then got called on it.

So not to change the thread, but I'm thinking of buying a 2014 or possibly 2015 MDX. Are there any issues I should be aware of??

Since it is so close to the launch of the 2015 model, I am going to wait for it rather than buy a 2014 MDX.

Do you know when to expect it in the dealer lots?
