I have a Thule Evolution box & luckily the current clamp spacing, center to center, is 28". I understand this is the same as the '14's spacing. Used this box on a generation 2 MDX.

What I'd like to know are the measurements from the front of the roofline
to the centers of the both cross bars. The '14 bars are not adjustable fore & aft like the 2nd generation. Also the width & thickness of the bars themselves would be helpful.

Thule wants the box mounted as far back as possible (but of course you still
need to open the tailgate door).

Always felt the design/slope of the roof rack made for a "rocket launcher" look on the box, but never caused any issues with buffeting or noise.
