Canadians. So lucky.

They get EVERYTHING!

White with black interior on the SUV's.

6MT's with Navi on the ILX 2.4.

All-around Camera views.

And now REAL WOOD GRAIN on the MDX.

"Real wood trim will be available in the 2014 Acura MDX, but only in the Canadian Elite package. The genuine “Olive Ash” trim is less glossy, and has a textured matte look and feel to it. Above are a few quick camera phone shots from yesterday’s track event."

They get more things then we do and we probably get some that they don't but still...

I think Real wood should be standard at least. That or Acura could make the fake wood look and feel a little bit more real by leaving out some of the gloss and adding texture.

Timmy18, have you checked out the Canadian pricing for the 2014 MDX? Once you have, I am sure that you're glad that you get fewer unimportant features but $10,000 less for the same vehicle....!!!

Yeah ostrich, I know of the pricing. I've seen the complaints already. But do they get paid more and have a lower/ higher cost of living?

Similar to what Audi has been doing lately, offering their Fine Grain Ash wood which does not have the glossy lacquer finish, just some nice matte stain.

It's an irritating trick played by those who are not #1 in the market. BMW rarely, if ever makes such limitations. Their closest competitor (worldwide), Audi, does this to a lessor degree. M-B (a shell of it's former self) does this quite frequently (at least in vehicles that are not named, "S-class"). Lexus? Infiniti? Acura? Not even on the same level.

The Canadian MDX is $10000 (MSRP) more but for the last 5+ years (Especially Western Canada) they have been offering anywhere between $8000 to $12000 cash rebates (Currently $10000). This has had a lot to do with the dollar parity for many years now. Then add to the matter that Acura Canada has been struggling for awhile now, you can get some great discounts also.

I would imagine that Acura Canada will try to remove the rebates upon release of the 2014 MDX but they will quickly reappear after only a couple months.

I'm loving the matte wood. I'd pay extra for that.

I recently started considering the MDX. Was I supposed to research this forum back then?

Why would I go through pages of threads if my sole reason for posting is to bump post count?
