When we purchased our '17 MDX Sport Hybrid, it went straight from dealership to shop for clear bra application. If I were to buy a PMC, it would have to sit in my garage for 60 days for curing process...nah no thanks!

It will be interesting to see if these models will actually sell. I cant see it. Acura's are good cars, but part of their appeal is the cost. Why not just move up to the German vehicles for this cost.

^^^They'll sell. Because there will be only 330 of them in N.A., if for nothing else. Being exclusive is a big thing for some.

But they are at the end of the current model cycle.

In a couple months when the new style 2021 MDX comes out, everyone knows they are the previous model.

If the PMC edition is released at the beginning of the model cycle, then the hefty price may worth the many following years of being the current model on the streets.

I would trade in my 19 MDX Hybrid Adv if the 2020 PMC MDX was a hybrid with the RLX sport hybrid 3.5L powertrain for the same price (and add HUD).

Agreed. A true limited edition MDX would have to be a hybrid to make waves in my opinion. It certainly needs to be more than all the options of an advance/tech/A-Spec with fancy paint.

Because some of us don't consider a switch to MB/BMW/Audi "moving up". I love the fact that Acuras (which I consider superior vehicles) are also lower-cost. So the price premium of a PMC MDX is not an impediment to me at all, but the fact that it's not a true top-of-the-line (SH-SHAWD) is.

Don't get me wrong, I have only owned Honda/Acura vehicles, except one Dodge Caravan, (Don't ask, Honda did not have a proper mini van at the time),and I am a big fan. That said, even as an Acura fan, I would never pay the extra for that version.

Fair enough! I can absolutely see the argument that the PMC MDX (and TLX) are not worth the price premium. I remember thinking the same years ago when I was shopping for a Benz and seeing that they offered a few "designo" color combinations that had a multi-thousand dollar premium. My point is just that there are *some* customers out there who are willing to pay this much extra for exclusivity, and that Acura isn't solely for those who would choose German makes but for the price.
