Hi guys, first post, don't kill me. I searched and couldn't find anything on this but I was wondering if there are any aftermarket grills in the newer model style (2017+) that are built for the 2016 and earlier models? I'll be getting a 2016 without acurawatch so I'm not sure if there are any other sensors to worry about, but I definitely like the look of the grill without the silver bar. I couldn't find anything online which I thought was a bit surprising?

They're completely different shapes. You couldn't replace just the grill. You'd need a new bumper, too.

If you prefer the 2017 styling (I sure do) then I'd suggest just buying a 2017+.

I know they aren't the same shape, which is why I'm posting this? Maybe the new style would look strange in the old shape, I'm not sure.

Yeah, unfortunately the aftermarket will ruin it completely. I don't even know why and how Acura decided to go with the beak look in the first place.

OP, I don't think the non-AWP models have any sensors behind the grille, but don't take my word for it. Maybe pull off the grille to double check. And yes, I have seen a 2017 style grille for pre-2017 vehicles, BUT it was done custom for a TLX: Custom Grilles for the 2015-2017 Acura TLX ? Acura Connected
You might be able to ask about getting a custom for your MDX if that's what you're after. The other alt is the usual DIY mesh conversions or something..

You could wrap the beak in black vinyl.Not a new grille but maybe a better look!
