2014 Tech vs Tech with Entertainment??

How is the entertainment system that comes with the tech package? Is it worth getting the entertainment versus going with another aftermarket option? What options are out there that might be better than the acura entertainment system?

Although having Advance+ENT, I personally can't find a good reason for Tech + ENT. One of the biggest problems is this Tech + ENT doesn't have HDMI input. It only has RCA. So, there isn't an easy way to hook iPhone or whatever HDMI devices to the system. HDMI input is only provided in Advance model.

It depends on your need. If you have young kids and a lot of DVDs, then it would be worthy. Otherwise, using iPad with headrest would be better solution.

Yeah I think the ipad or ipad mini would have more functionality as long as i can have it installed that it gives a built-in look and customized. It would look so much better than just hanging it with an ipad holder. Any ideas??

I hesitated for about 5 minutes on whether to get the Tech/Ent over just the Tech. I have 3 kids under 7 and while they each have their own iphone/ipad (hold in their hands), having the DVD is a great complement for long trips as they eventually bore of their iphones (after say an 1-2 hours). I also feel that they get sleepier when watching a DVD then handling a device.

I also believe the Tech/Ent includes a 110 volt outlet in the back (I had a 2008 where it was in the center console).

If it wasn't clear I opted to get the Tech/Ent. Couldn't justify the Advanced package (though I was certainly tempted).

The Tech/Ent package also includes heated rear seats and rear window sunshades.

Good point. I was pleasantly surprised to find the window sunshades - which my kids will be very thankful for when we drive with a setting sun (not) shining in their eyes.
