TSX Wagon Suspension Resources - Links, Pictures, etc.
You guys know I just like to compile stuff, so here's another one for wagon owners thinking about or doing research on lowering their wagons and improving their suspension set ups.
These are just my views and I am not liable for anything you do to your car, nor is this the end all of all wagon suspension information, so use my feedback at your own risk. There are a few other guys here with much more knowledge and experience than I, so hopefully they chime in too.
The biggest thing to point out is that the springs/struts or coilover setups for the sedans are interchangeable with the wagons, physically speaking. In terms of exact specs, the wagons have different spring rates and possibly damper valving than the sedans, so the OEM part numbers are different. This is likely to deal with slightly different weight distribution and handling characteristics.
Practically speaking, I think one of the main considerations for wagon owners is whether the suspension set up of choice will provide you the right dampening and ride height for the rear, because that is heavier than on the sedan. Certain coilover companies can provide custom (firmer) spring rates for the rears, I've checked with ISC and BC Racing and there is no upcharge to doing so. Or you can just use sedan spring rates and adjust your dampener settings firmer to accommodate heavier weight. FWIW, Tein lists their SS coils for both the sedan and wagon with the same part number, as does KW with its Variant 1 coils. Most coilovers for the TSX are all height adjustable, so you can adjust the ride height to your preferred measurements.
If you go with springs, there is no control over ride height or spring rates, but having seen pictures of wagons on sedan springs, there is no noticeable sag from the heavier rear. IMO, at least. Using struts like Koni Sports will give you a little adjustability, as Konis have two lower spring perch options that are 15 mm (0.6") apart in height. You can lower or raise the perches to alter ride height a little. Adjustable rebound settings on the Konis will also allow you to dial in the ride quality you want in the rear. This is useful even with stock springs.
Other suspension mods like camber arms, sway bars, chassis bracing, etc that are listed as sedan parts will also work on the wagons. Here is my other ongoing suspension thread that covers 2Gs in general:

Anyway, on to the more interesting wagon specific suspension stuff. Please feel free to provide feedback, I'm hoping others can add to it.

Another factor to consider when deciding if and how much to lower your wagon (or any car really): How do you use your trunk? Lots of heavy cargo? Big system? Dogs? Misbehaving kids?
Judging from the pictures, a 1" Eibach drop on the wagon is exaggerated slightly because of the heavier rear, although it's not exactly a significant sag. Yet. Eibachs should be fine over time, but probably not if you're carrying lots of extra weight on a regular basis.

The Tein SS are some of the nicest riding and quietest coils I've ever owned because they reuse the stock top hats. So much better than pillowball mounts in that aspect.
