2011 Black Wagon

I thought I show a few pics of the progress I'm making with my 2011 CBP Sportwagon:
Stock

Lowered on Megan EZ Coilovers and Dunlop Direzza 225-45-17

Added HellaFlush 20mm spacers (F) 25mm spacers (R), this really helped clean up the fender gap and swapped out the Dunlops for Toyo Extenza HP's 235-45-17. The Dunlops became super noisy after 15k miles and wet traction was horrible. Also, installed Injen CAI and RV6 downpipe for a little more go!

Thanks!!!
The Subies were fun, but not reliable. Blew the motor on WRX at Sebring, dropped in STi shortblock, went back to Sebring and blew the turbo! I had to rebuild the trannies in both the WRX and the Forester. Decided it was time for a change.

Looks-wise, I think the TSX Wagon takes the cake. Once you add some wheels and maybe even some lips or aero bumpers, it'll look even better.

Believe me, I would love to throw some 19" Vossen, BBS or Axis wheels on there, but, I drive 25K miles a year and replacement tire cost is about 30% higher for 19" compared to 17", not to mention the initial $2,500 - $3,000 for wheels and tires. So, for now, I'm keeping the stock wheels.

Thanks to everyone for your kind words, especially Megan EZ Street Coilovers
That dude is cool

Very nice work so far. Awesome work on the Subarus as well. I've always liked the Forester and was tempted numerous times to get one, except I couldn't find anything with low enough miles with what I wanted, same situation with the 2005 LGT wagon.

Here's one that I saw at Giants stadium last year at an auto-x event, as a spectator.

^^^twin brother with black socks!
I do miss the punch of the Subaru's but not the poor build quality, cheap materials and cost of maintenance. The gremlin bug is a major factor as well. As soon as you turn a bolt, you'll be chasing that gremlin forever

I know, I have a buddy who has had his 2002 WRX since new, and have worked on that car with him on many occasions, so I know some of the pain.

Wish I had fewer financial responsibilities, been dying to get coils for my wagon for months now...

Get on it Puppetmaster. At least Christmas is coming soon. Maybe you can get them then. Mantra, if I wasn't the first wagon on coils, at least I'm happy that "title" goes to a fellow Subaru owner/lover. I've had a Legacy, Tribeca, and Saabaru.

^Thanks PPower! I certainly miss the power of the Suby's. If only Honda/Acura made the TSX wagon with the V6, Shawd and a 6spd, I'd trade mine in immediately.

I would be happy even with just one of the above. Okay, maybe not the AWD, because the I4 + AWD would make for one slow car. At least two of the above.

Don't you worry, the plan is in place, and some "components" have already been in my basement for months. Just need to get everything else.

True, however, I would never own a BMW due to long term cost of ownership. Those parts get real expensive when the warranty is over. Can you imagine the cost of replacing the 8spd auto?!

Looks good, man. I hope to have a black wagon soon. No issues with rubbing with your spacers?

Good to hear, I may throw on a set of spacers. Are you still running OEM wheels? If you are, itching to put some aftermarket wheels on?

Still oem, would love to throw some 19" Vossen's, BBS, Axis, etc, but I drive 25K miles a year and just burn up tires. 17" tires are much cheaper than 19"s

Yeah, that's true. I'm trying to sell off my 20" Vossen wheels before making my TSX purchase.
