don't buy a new one! unless you really want to of course.
i got mine on ebay too and what's important is the part number. stk....a03 will work on our cars considering you and i have 12 tsx too. the first 2 links will be good considering the people are reputable sellers.
just go to discount tire or shop you trust and they'll have the rebuild kit for you for like 5 bucks each sensor totaling to 20 bucks + sensors you buy. I got it installed by them for 100 bucks but it was well worth it. no problems whatsoever.

You won't need anything but the sensors if they're new. The rebuild kit is just a valve stem, washer, and the nuts to hold to sensor to the wheel. I suppose it's a good practice to replace that stuff when tires are changed, but I'm pretty sure it's just a way for the tire shops to make a few extra bucks. Ok, I just checked both of those links and the sensors are all used with no nuts and/or cores, so you'd need rebuild kits. I'd keep looking for new ones since the total cost might be similar. Try Amazon, I think that's where I foud them the cheapest.

I'm thinking about just taking the tpms off my stockies. Since I won't be needing it anymore. What will I need? Or the tire shop should be able to do it easily

I thought about doing that myself, but ended up buying tpms because i might be using the stock tires again. yes, you can totally do that though. i advise you to have the tire shop do it. a reputable one, so they don't damage anything.

tire place may try to sell you rebuild kit...its a new seal, washer and nut. some places will not reuse old ones so just be ready. should be about 4-6 bux a wheel.

I have a 2013 TSX. so just to confirm: 42753-STK-A02/03/04 should work, although my dealer told me to buy 42753-TL2-A51/52?
thanks!

I find both of these posts confusing. Which sensor carries the correct part number for a 2013 TSX? Do the sensors that carry the second part number (42753-TL2-A51/52) work? Do you actually know, or are you just repeating what the dealer told you?

so I bought a set from Kijiji which the seller claims it's Honda/Acura OEM.
put them on new rims/tires (18") and give me 242-246kpa for pressures within minutes, while the stock ones (17") are 232-236. is this normal?
also the pressure readings don't seems to change even after I drive for a while or deflate some air from a tire. so the initial reading never changed, weird?

The pressure shown should be whatever is in the tire(s)(approximately). Your installer must have put more air in the 18's than was in the OE tires (assuming it's reading the new tire/wheel setup). Are you sure the pressure shown is from the new tires? I can't speak for the 2nd gen TPMS (though I don't know why it would be different), but I have found that on the 07, it can take up to 50 miles for the system to 1. realize that the wheels on the car don't have sensors (I ran snow tires for a few seasons without them), and 2. It could take just as long to recognize that the wheels with sensors are back on the car. In your case, the fact that the pressure shown on the display doesn't change when the pressure in the tire(s) does, may be clue that it's displaying stored readings and not the actual tires that are on the car.

Or- where are the old tires? Are they still in the car?

It may take a while for the new sensors to be recognized (like Simba said) but once recognized they should indicate correct psi and should alert immediately to changes. Errors will show up on the dash.

But - where are you located? Some countries have different requirements.

I am going thru this whole issue myself. 2010 TSX has the 42753-TL2-A51 / 42753-TL2-A52 part numbers for OEM sensors..... same for all 2009-13 TSXs.

The 2007-2008 TSXs show the 42753-STK-A02 OEM part number for the sensors.

Some people say they are interchangeable, others say that they are not. Which is the real story ?? Finding the STK-A02 are much easier and less expensive than the TL2-A51/A52 sensors......
Anyone know for certain which will work ....all of them or just the TL2-A51/A52 ones ???

Well, I was about to take the chance on the STK- ones, but found a set of take out TL2-A51s with under 50 miles (so the ad said) for under 2 bills and grabbed them ... at least these will match the one from the factory and I (hopefully) won't have issues with them not communicating properly with the car......
