If you don't get the TPMS, you'll have the TPMS warning light constantly on in the dash. Other than that, nothing else will be affected.

You should look to see that the new wheels are TPMS capable.

If they will accept a TPMS sensor (the place where you put air in your tires is the sensor on the TSX), you can either buy new sensors (Tirerack will sell you them for a very high price to put on any wheels you buy from them) or you can remove them from your current wheels and have them put on your new wheels. Most tire shops will also sell you TPMS sensors (will put them on when you get tires from them).

If you don't have the TPMS sensors you will get an error message constantly, which would drive me crazy after awhile.

I believe that if you do use the existing sensors, when you remove and transfer them they need some kind of rebuild kit. I only first heard of this while going through the Tirerack website myself, don't know much more than that. The rebuild kit for four sensors was like $350. At least thats waht I remember. Nobody quote that! lol. Just check it out. Ask your Acura dealer. And remember, if your TPMS light is on or the sensors are removed you can NOT de-activate traction control! Best of luck.

I think the last time I checked Tirerack, they quoted around $312 for brand new replacement sensors pre-installed on a set of rims/tires. If you just transfer your current sensors, you do not need a rebuild kit.

Also note, that if the TPMS sensors have an error, you cannot disable VSA. Just wanted to mention that as well.

If by "rebuild kit" you mean the rubber rings and washer then yes, I've read the official Honda installation instructions for TPMS sensors and they mention replacing these each and every time you re-mount them on a new set of rims. Problem is that these rubber rings get deformed when you tighten them to help create a good seal so they're a one-time use thing. The $350 you were quoted definitely includes the sensors. I'd be surprised if the rebuild kit was more than $50

You need new sensors. I called my dealer and asked the same question yesterday.
He said when you switch wheels parts of the sensor break, and become unusable. So you need to buy a set of new sensors. Or so he says... the price up here in canada for Gen 2 sensors are 260 for the set.

You just need to buy the following Nut and Washer:

42754-STK-A01 NUT, TPMS VALVE
42755-STK-A01 WASHER, TPMS VALVE

Cost me $25 for set of 4 in Vancouver. Most TPMS sensors last up to 7 years.
