Spacers - which ones.
I need to put the factory wheels back on for winter but the stocks look horrible now that the car is lowered.
Can anyone recommend:
Spacers? Aluminum or acrylic/plastic?
How many mm should they be to fit the same as a +48 offset wheel?
Thanks in advance.

Lou, I just installed 15mm Ichiba V2 spacers on my rear this week. They are made of Aluminum/Magnesium alloy and hubcentric. I bought the version II because it's stud mounted already. Looks great and took me only 20 minutes to install.

Cost around US $110 in ebay plus s/h.
You can also look at H&R and Eibach.

If you go anything greater than 5mm, make sure they're hubcentric.
I'm only getting some 3mm spacers to add more clearance for the Rotora BBK. Still waiting for Marcus at HealToe to let me know when they're in. They're going to be Project KICs.

The ones like Tech showed would be necessary IMHO, above 5mm like Derwood said. Those bolt on and have their own embedded studs so there'd be plenty of meat for the lugs to bite. In either case, I'd only run hubcentric, and those style would have to be some really well made ones for obvious reasons.
So...where's the pics, tech? We don't care if it's dirty, lol.

It's been raining all day yesterday and today. Wind blowing at 50-70km/h. My patio umbrella tipped over and cracked the table glass all over the place. And yes, the car is very dirty but I will try to post some photos this weekend. TGIF

Yes, they are the stock 17"- 225/50. I definitely like how the 15mm spacers look on my rear. No rubbing issue even with 4 people in my car.

Thanks HD. It does make the rear looks correct.
I am leaving the front alone for the moment as it is not as tucked in as the rear and I am not so sure about putting spacers on the drive/steering wheel.

Yeah, right? The rear 'correction' brought them in line with the fronts which also looks correct. Then again, running the TL-S wheels @ 1/2" wider, my memory of the stockies up front isn't fresh.

Not trying to steal your thread bro, but I am curious to see if you guys think these would work in my scenario with the HFP's? I was going to do 10mm, but after seeing 09TSXTech's, 15mm might be better...

09TSXTech, these spacers worked fine with the stock studs, no cutting of the stock studs, right? Did your stock wheels sit as far in as my HFP's before the spacers? Thanks.

I was going to install either a 5mm or 10mm spacers initially, but changed my mind after learning that I will need to replace the stock studs.
The 15mm spacer is direct bolt-on, like the diagram above illustrated. You put it on top of existing bolts, secure with nuts provided in the package and the install your wheel onto the 5 bolts of the spacer. Very clean and took me 20 minutes to install both rear.

You do need to check if your wheels have open slot or cavities when buying version II spacers.

I actually looked at getting the HFP's before finding a deal on ebay for the Rage wheel. Both the HFP's and Rage as well as our stock 17" are ET 55.

Do you have photos of the finished product?

Hey 09TSXTech, It looks good even with the stockers back on, good job!
I have to say that I'm so glad to be living in a snow, ice & salt free zone... come on winter!
