1) Wheels fit.

2) 235/50R18? That's a really thick ass tire IMO, especially on 18s. Would probably not look as weird on 17s. 245/45R18 sounds better, but I have a feeling it will throw the speedometer off quite a bit.

245/45/18 will get pretty close to OEM's diameter.
you want to match OEM's rolling diameter, so that your speedometer isnt off.
the 245/45/18s will be 1.35% larger in diameter than stock, so speedo will be off by 1.33% too slow.
but that's okay, as that's the closet to stock diameter....

and use a gawyam tire calculator next time to show and see this info

yeah, the tire calculator said...Actual speed...62mph...245/45 = 61.something mph.
so, likely wont even notice speed difference

the 235/50's were over 3% larger than stock.

and I used the 235 stock number... I hope that's right....

If OP's car is a 4cyl, then 245/40/18 is the nearest perfect size in terms of diameter. But it will be pinched on 8" wide wheels.

225/45/18 might be better.
