How Nasty sunk ?
I can't do offset math for tsx for some reason so like some help
I like puppet masters 18x8.5 +30 looks great
Question how nasty sunk will the following set up be :
19x8.5 +43
19x9.5 +45
I imagine the rear will be ok but front super sunk ? It has 245 front and 275 rear on it
Appreciate the help

Thank you for that measuring tool never saw that before
One more dumb question
So if two wheels have same offset but one is wider than than the other does the width of the wheel go toward inside shock and spring and offset being more aggressive take the wheel to the outside ?
I was just thinkin if I could compensate on offset by going wider
But I learned that is not the case

Width affects both directions. 1" = 25.4mm. Approximately 12.7mm will go inwards, and other 12.7mm will go outwards.
Also, lower the offset, more the wheel sticks out from the hub.
If you don't mind spacers and these wheels truly are a steal, I'd grab them anyway. Also, 275s are way too excessive at the back. I find 255s max on this car. Even though the rears won't sit flush, they will more than likely rub with the 275s on. I had 18x9.5 +45 on 235/40/r18 rubbers and without rolled fenders, I was really really close to rubbing, despite a sunken battleship look.

The wheels are basically new and in storage
Going to go next weekend and put them on and see how bad it is

Your setup will be 13mm more sunk than puppet's up front, and 12mm more sunk in the back. This is disregarding tire sizes of course. He ran a decent sized tire which filled the wheel wells nicely. Running sizes similar to his on 19s on the other hand will likely be too much if you end up lowering your car (he is lowered iirc).

13mm = about half an inch, so the face of the wheel will be about half an inch sunken compared to puppets wheels.

Asian man familiar with small inches
Half inch doesn't sound bad at all
Will the rear not work per justin above ?

I can get 4 new tires no problem
I just don't want to spend $ if sunk
Since I already have oem ghetto sunk
Again you guys are great
Let's see how bad in person next weekend
Tired of stock grandpa car
Wasn't there a guy in NJ white tsx running 275 on forge star? I think he has Audi s4 now
I am not trying to stuff 275 on underpowered fwd car, just trying to learn

Naw don't take it the wrong way. We also just trying to guide you into the right direction. We want you to get the wheels!
If it rubs, it'll be because of the tires, not the wheels. In this situation, the wheels themselves will still look sunk, despite rubbing from the tires. That's a lose-lose situation IMO.
You being able to get appropriately sized tires will be hugely beneficial to prevent rubbing. But like I mentioned a couple lines above, the wheels will still look sunk. What's your take on spacers? I haven't had any problems with running spacers, and if you know how to properly torque down nuts to specific torque specs, I don't see your wheels falling off in the foreseeable future.
edit:
I realize "sunk" could be a bit subjective. In my point of view, it's impossible to go with the flush look without rolling your rear fenders, even if you are rubbing in the back without a roll. It still looks "sunk", despite rubbing. For me personally, to achieve flush you'll need a roll and definitely spacers.

Thanks for that
I prefer no spacers due to 2 little kids in car
Doesn't need perfect flush
Most tsx I see here are flush rear
Stick out front
I don't want that

I didn't pick up. I put a refundable deposit ($300) to hold it till 5/30/15 when I can try it on the car.
Asking price was 3100. We agreed to $2200 (granted it fits/works how I want)

For us colored people, it is a skill you are born with it. I figured someone yellow as yiourself, would have it as well
Or did you turn white living in Canada
Don't forget your roots, yellow man :p
This is how our people can survive on $1.50 a day.

Nope I learned from my mom. She's the ultimate haggler. I thought maybe you knew something that's beyond the roots of our peoples.
I just found that most car guys or car shops don't tend to budge when it comes to selling authentic wheels. Nice work

Are you lowering it? I'll be needing tires soon and I'm debating on keeping it stock or going +1 in size. I'm def not messing with the suspension and most likely goung the oem+ route. Oh, and no tint for me.

I approve this message.
Honestly, I think they will be fine, but definitely do the test fit if you can. I didn't do the math, but if you guys are saying that the rears will be around 12-13 mm more tucked, I think that's workable. The fronts will be fine, but one thing is to check the INSIDE clearance up front.
Tough to find these wheels in great condition these days, short of buying them new.

Wait, you guys are using the wrong specs in the calc.
My rims are 8.5 +30 and his rears are 9.5 +45, so his rears will be a 2 mm difference (inward) from mine, which is essentially the same. But yes, fronts will be 13 mm inward, which IMO, isn't a big deal since mine are slightly too far out. Like I said, check that you have that 13 mm of clearance on the inner side.

7.5" + 55 basically has about 150mm of rim behind the hub of the wheel
8.5" + 43 is almost exactly the same
OEM math: (7.5" to mm)/2 + 55mm = 95.25 mm + 55mm = 150.25mm
Front CE28 math: (8.5" to mm)/2 + 43mm = 107.95mm + 43mm = 150.95mm

Appreciate the help as always
However if front is same as OEM (OEM to me is sunk--so we have some objective measure), then I am not sure it will work
Well test fit is 4 days away

For reference:
Your fronts will be 12 mm more inward than mine, which will be fine IMO, since mine actually stick out a tiny bit. Rears will be the same, as mentioned before. Yes, they will be "sunk" as in not flush with the fenders, but I can tell you that I have some negative camber and if my fenders weren't rolled, they would still be eating up my 245/40 tires. Like I said, "sunk" is subjective. I think it's as flush as it's going to be, within practical reason.
I'll see if I can get you better pictures. Big "if". I know a few others have had 9.5" +45 mm before. There was a graphite sedan with S-techs, 19s, full kit that I used as a reference. Can't remember the guy's name, but he liked guns (airsoft) a lot and tried a few different grill custom jobs.
