Coilover questions!

Hey guys I've tried searching around and really couldnt find the answer to my question. I've been looking around for coilover for a good while and ive cut my options and just going to go with Megans. But my question is, what exactly is the difference between the Megan Ez 15 way, and Megan Street 32 way? I know its the dampering. But is it really worth that extra 200 bucks(going off ebay prices)? I was just gonna go with megan ez, but my buddies all run 32 ways, and they say I should too. How is the megans ride quality, close to stock? Has anyone gone to the point of maxing out the ez's? I'm just curious on how low exactly they can go. Moneys tight so I'm looking for what your opinions are of which i should get? Is there a better brand rather than megans? (price range 700-900)

Thanks so much guys! Hopefully this can help me make up my mind!

I've ran Megan SS before and I have a bunch of friends running EZ's, I would tell you just to go with EZ's cause in reality your not going to be using all 32 way dapening settings. But I think EZ's right now are still on back order also you can look at Ksport.

BTW look into Throwdownperformance.com

I ride on the megan EZ's at almost the stiffest settings and its fine for my daily driving. So for those who prefer a softer setting there is much room to play with. And in terms to how low it can go, you can easily tuck tire.

i just installed mine, a great improvement over stock in turns of handling (tighter turns, MUCH less body rolls)

i have my settings set at (from the softest) 7 front and 10 rear. it feels just a tad bit over stock at around 7, so you can def set something like 5/7 to get the stock feel if you'd like

15 way adjustment is really all you need to be honest, although this is my first set of coils and i have yet to try other ones, i think this is sufficient for daily driving

good luck!

Two questions about the difference between Megan SS and Megan EZ:

1. Are pillowball mounts justifiable for a $144 price increase between the two? I read a little about the pillowball vs rubber, and it sounded like pillowball wasn't that much better and didnt make much difference on double wishbone suspension(which if I remember correctly the tsx has).

2. Ez spring rate is 10/5kg, and SS is 12/6kg. Are these going to be a huge difference in stiffness? I don't want a track car, I want to have a DD that can be a little stiffer than stock.

I think I already know my answers, but I just wanted to make sure. I'm getting antsy for coils, and right now EZ is on back order and SS aren't.

I also have meganz ez and agree with ttk and ed no need to go with the ss (with the 200 saved get camber kit) you can easily find the setting that you like cant go wrong with them plus they go low lower than tein for example when i tried max them out sides sides skirt were almost touching the ground lol (note that i have the type s side skirts)

Thanks guys! Made up my mind and gonna be ordering the ez's! Pretty stoked I been wanting a drop for so long haha.

But quick question, off topic from what I posted. I've been looking for some wheels on a local forum and some one has a set of Volk TE37s in bronze. But what im trying to find out is what's the max offset can our cars run with minimal body work. The specs are Front 19x9.5+22 with 235/35R19 Rear 19x10.5+22 with 245/35R19. Will I be able to clear these without any fender rolling?? These are for a steal too. 2200 with 90% tread tires

As nice as that deal is.. It's too much poke'age.. Here's a good example with similar offsets..

https://acurazine.com/forums/2g-tsx-tires-wheels-suspension-300/front-20-rear-25-offset-850622/

However, the bronze TE-37s would work on my RX8 Where are you located?
