Blown Strut or Endlink

Installed the Eibach Prokit over the weekend but couple days after the install started getting a clunking noise on front right corner. Thought maybe suspension was loose so I took it all apart and re torqued everything but not didn't see anything else out of order.

Sound still persists, took it to a local shop to be diagnosed. he didn't think it's the strut, but the end links.

Checked the strut and no major signs of a blown seal or leaks.

I am going to first replace the right end link and see if it goes away, but I am not holding my breathe.

Anyone care to chime in if they have had the same issue and were able to resolve it?

If the sound ONLY occurs when you hit offset bumps (bumps with only one side of the car at a time), then its a good chance that an endlink is worn.

It's really hard to say, I've had experience with failed endlinks, ball joints, etc. Hopefully it's just an endlink - it's a relatively easy fix!

Replaced the end links on the troublesome side and the rattle/clunk was still there.

I am at the shop now getting Koni Yellows installed. Have the old shock out, and there is definitely oil on it, so must have been a blown strut.

Let's hope this is the fix.

All is good, It was a blown strut.

See pics for reference

Blown Strut hydraulic fluid on the outside

Left From Strut, Not Blown for reference.

Loving the ride of the Koni's right now all the way soft but will try firmer setting today
