Warranty Soon Expires

I have a 2009 TSX with 28,000 miles on it. The warranty expires in 10 weeks. I have had no problems with the car, just routine service. Since the warranty will soon expire, does anyone know of any particular problem occurring with this model that I should take a look at before the warranty goes away? Should I have an independent shop do a once over of the vehicle to check for suspension problems, leaks or whatever? I don't trust the dealer to give me an honest inspection. Am I paranoid, or is this a normal thought process? Thanks.

Great post and good logic.

Yes, have a trusted indy give your car a once over. It should be about an hour worth of labor.

Not paranoid at all - the dealer has zero incentive to find anything wrong.

I would definitely recommend it, from personal experience.

Had my car inspected by the dealership a few weeks before my warranty ran out due to a pulsating brake pedal when slowing down from highway speeds. Dealership deemed it to be normal, and suggested that I may just need an alignment.

Turns out all 4 of my rotors were warped.

Might I ask if they covered the parts under warranty? I recall Mazda covering my warped discs, but when I called Acura, they said it was not.

I just had warped rotors fixed two weeks ago under warranty, no questions asked. I think there is a technical service bulletin on a brake shudder too.
