TSX SportWagon Tailgate Issue
no response using any of the standard methods to unlock and release.
ended up finding the manual release level where the lock actuator is. going to be replacing the lock actuator to see if it resolves the problem,

Also, you can open the tailgate manually by hand just by opening it from the back. The latch is in the middle of the tailgate above the license plate (car must be unlocked). If it doesn't open that way then something is definately wrong.
Same thing just happened to me this morning 2011 non-tech wagon. I press the tailgate button and hear the actuator click, but the tailgate will not release. Battery is good and key fob locks and unlocks the doors. It is just below freezing and rained heavily yesterday. Wondering if water got into the latch and froze. Going to fold the seats and look for some sort of release on the inside face of the hatch. Was this problem ever resolved for original thread starter?

Thanks for your quick response. I tried again later in the morning and it worked fine. I removed the plastic access cover on the inside face of the tailgate and no sign of moisture. Earlier, when it was not opening, the button was triggering the actuator which made a noise. So, not sure what the problem was. Maybe the lubricant in the latch dried out adding some friction or the actuator is a little weak? If it happens again, I'll take out the actuator/latch mechanism to check the voltage on the connector and then clean and lube the mechanism with lithium grease.
