Hi all,

I bought a 2012 TSX w/ tech 2 months back in florida and now moved to texas. me n my wife use this car with different memory settings. The seat and the mirrors used to auto adjust based on the key used. Now the mirrors stopped adjusting and only the seats adjust. We took it to a dealer in Dallas and he said that the mirrors do not adjust in 2012 tsx. He referred to the owners manual and made a fool out of me and turned me back. Is he right? I am sure he is not but just confirming.
Also how do i make the mirrors adjust now. i tried everything i know but nothing worked. Please help.

 

as far as i know, the mirrors are not automatic, sorry bud. the seat can be tied to your key or just the button, but the mirrors to not adjust

 

We were using it for 2 months. Now everyone is saying its not a feature. I am not sure what to believe. This is the only link i can find to confirm this.

Check the Seating and Remote Entry features which talk about the mirror linking to driver profile. This is what i am going to show to the dealer today. I just want my fellow tsxers to confirm i am right.

 

The TSX never had the adjusting mirrors feature with the seats like the TL does. However, in reading your link it seems like this is something they may have added for 2012? Or maybe it is model specific i.e. only found in the SE or the Wagon?

I have one thought: move the mirror adjust button to "L" and leave it there, and then try it. My logic is that if this is really a feature they added for '12, maybe it is linked to that switch like the side mirror tilt down feature is.

 

Thanks for the reply. Now i am at a second dealership. And they also said it might not be a feature. No one is believing us and we started to doubt ourselves. What if this is a new feature in 2012 and these service folks are not aware of it. I dont even know how to convince them. The only proof i have is the press release from honda. This is crazier than i expected. the dealer just took it in for diagnosis.

Is there any 2012 tsx owner in this forum who used this feature? Please tell me i am not crazy.

 

I also thought the mirrors were linked to the presets. This statement in the Honda/Acura news release was present since the introduction of TSX the 2009 MY.

Looks like someone did a cut-and-paste job from TL specs and no one read them after.

I can confirm that there are no sensors within the TSX mirrors and they are not linked to presets. I looked in the service manual. The only sensor is for the right mirror tilt feature when you are backing up, and only for the UP/DOWN setting! (This feature works when the switch is on "R")

 

Just to confirm: TSX doesn't offer memory mirrors. TL does. Coming from an '07 TL to a '10 TSX V6, it was one of the first things I discovered. What you may have noticed is if you had the mirror control on L or R and engaged reverse, the mirror points downward. Just a guess.

 

Yeah, no memory mirrors. If the mirror is left on the "R" position, the right mirror points downward when reversing.

 

2011 Tech here and no memory for the mirrors. Just tried it myself thinking it was the same as our 2011 MDX
