Rear, squeaking and rattling noise

Hey guys, have any of you noticed that when you drive, there's some kind of odd squeaking noise towards the back? It comes off and on every so often. It's in between a squeak and light rattle. Also, my brakes are starting to make the brake pad squeak as well. If any of you have this problem or can relate, can you please address this? It's a nuisance having to hear both the rear squeaking (when the brakes aren't applied, AND when they are applied) and the brakes cringing in the front and the back as well. Thanks guys! Much appreciated!

This is a recall issue. Contact your dealer an they will replace it under warranty. Did mine already.

hey, thanks for the quick response! But I've noticed that this is only for Canada, I've read up on that post already. Unfortunately, I'm in the US, and I just called my service advisor, says that " the TSX rear brakes wear out easily and will have to be replaced around 17- 20XXX miles, sooo.. He also says that only the first 12 months are covered for change of brakes, and I'm on my 2nd year. So.. I guess I'll be charged ALMOST an arm and a leg for the brake change... now, the rear left side is starting to sound... wish we could complain.. ONLY 20XXX miles and we have to pay for it? man.. might as well gone for a BMW all inclusive wear-n-tear for brakes as well... sigh...

Ouch. That is surprising. US behind Canada for something like this? Tell the dealer they should be ashamed...I would write a letter to Honda US. I find that unacceptable for customer service.

march30,

i have the same problem with my o4 tsx. did the noise stop once you changed the brakes? I need to change mine too, but i just wanted to double check and make sure something else isn't going on. It almost sounds like a rattling bearing, but it only happens between 40 and 50 mph. Let me know what you did to fix your car. Thanks.
