I'm taking mine in on Monday to have replaced. Although it's under warranty, it's still a hassle.

I'm dropping mine off tomorrow morning. Dealer states the replacement speakers are a better design comparing them side-by-side, but he could just be repeating what he was told to say.

My front door lower speakers failed first, then I noticed a blown speaker sound from the rear, dunno if it's the doors or deck, but they're replacing them anyway.

The b!tch of it is, it could be fixed 100% then taken out back where the car wash jockeys blow them again. I never noticed the rear speakers sounding bad until they replaced the fronts. Then again, maybe I just couldn't hear it.

Canada. Passenger front speaker. This is the second time it's happened in less then five months. I usually play my music between 12 and 15 for volume. Never any more then that. I also have my bass and sub set at +1.

Someone on this forum said there was going to be a reacall but my dealership knows nothing of it.

You have a black car and you let the dealership wash your car. Bigger balls then I have. The dealership doesn't wash either of my TSXs. Ever.

I have the Tech and I had the driver's side door speaker blown and replaced. I am also hearing some "strange sounds" now from the front passenger's side door speaker and the rear, but I think those may just be plastic/rear deck rattles when there is more bass...I say this because it doesn't sound like it is happening all of the time and w/ every song.

When I have some free time I am going to sit at all of the different points in my car and listen very closely. I will do this soon, as the dealership still owes me an install of the Advanced Cargo Net (this is totally on my end, as I haven't been able to schedule the appt. yet) and if there are any more blown speakers I will want them replaced then.

Has anyone been told by their dealer that this is a known issue, and that a service bulletin has been issued? If so, can you ask for that info, or provide me the name of your dealer so I can give them a call. My dealer says they are not aware of the problem, and that the replacement speakers are the same part number. Ive already had my car in a few times, and I want it to get fixed right the next time I take it in.

I went in today to get 2 speakers replaced. When I said I was in to get the speakers looked at, she asked me if they were blown. I said it sounds like they are. She then ordered the parts right there and made an appt without even looking at the car. She said she already had another TSX in today for the same thing. I gather she already knew of the problems from her reaction. I have a tech btw....2500 miles. I believe it was already blown the day I bought the car..I just thought the rattle noise was something else. Here's where I went

Update

ok so I went to get my speakers changed. The 2 that were having a problem they said had no problem (even though they vibrate and sound blown), but they found the passenger front and rear doors were blown and changed those. Funny I didn't have any problems with those, but supposedly they have some tester that sends different test sounds through each of the speakers. So now I'm going to a DIFFERENT acura dealer to just get whatever is vibrating, speaker or not, fixed. I don't care whats vibrating...I want it to stop! Oh, and the service person told me the Dolby was turned on and that was causing those speakers to vibrate. Oh really...so whats the use of the dolby function then????? lol

mine front door left speaker changed on warranty several days ago and the man from Honda* service told me that they have a service bulletin for the speakers they also have in the warehouse several speakers ready for this purpose

in fact the coil of the speakers move a little from his normal position and when the cone move up and down (producing the wave noise) the coil and the cone get in contact, producing a rattle sound

*note - Honda service because in Europe the US Acura TSX is sold as Honda Accord brand
(US Acura RL is sold as Honda Legend in Europe)
