Oil level
Hello all, I just bought my first TSX in October and I love the car. Recently, accelerating my car while cutting someone off or getting on the highway, a light comes on when I pass a certain rpm. The light that comes on is check oil level. So I took in to the local Acura dealer and they couldn't find out anything and put some oil to test it out. The light comes back on after the service team "fixed" it. So I took in on two Fridays ago and they called me on Monday stating the pistons aren't taking the oil and it needs to be replaced. Has this happened to anyone and I am thinking of either making the dealership give me a new car or give me my money back and going to another car company. Please let me know if this has happened before?
Thanks!!
Car info:
2012 TSX 4cl
13,000 miles
Bought pre owned at 10k miles. Car was a loaner for the service team.
Thanks!!

Hey,
I purchased a 2012 TSX SE back in October as well. 0 miles though. The issue I began to experience once I entered approximately 7000 miles was that when cornering on occassion the "check oil level" light would flash on for a few seconds then turn off. Mind you the vehicle had 30% oil life left and the oil has NOT been changed yet since driving it out of the dealership. After this occurred a few times I check the dipstick and noticed it was barely reading any oil on the bottom of the stick. When I took it back to the dealership they check it for leaks and found none. They topped it off with a quart of oil (I have to read the paperwork to be 100% sure with the amount) and said its possible the vehicle is burning through the oil and may be normal. They also said to keep an eye on it and see how often it this occurs.

I have a low oil pressure light but my car doesn't have an oil level light. Where is it? Can you take a pic?

You might want to run through this thread as I have had a similar issue. Basically my low oil level light would come on if there was a sudden jolt or movement of my car after about 4-5k miles. A bunch of oil consumption tests later, they put in new piston rings. 2500 miles so far so good. Verdict is still out but it seems to be working for other people. Best of luck!
