OBD2 and you
OBD2 and you
So, Utah, myself and ssjoeboe9 are all moving into that part of the spectrum where emissions (at least for me and Utah) are a thing....
I figured this thread could be for the issues we experience, how to overcome them, and ultimately, what was needed to get to pass.
If we don't pass, go back to oem and part everything out, that trail of tears will also be found here...
Right now, my turbo is really quite fun.
However, I get an OBD2 code, saying vacuum leak.
I do not have a vacuum leak, so I'm not sure what it's referencing. What I am going to do, is purchase a vacuum manifold I believe, to better control and understand what is being used.
The RBC manifold is a raging pile of junk when it comes to manifold references when compared to the original plastic manifold our cars come with. It's quite heart breaking.

If you have a ZDX throttle body on the car you need to adjust the throttle plate to hold the map sensor voltage up (close the throttle plate it's a little allen screw covered with glue, it is adjusted for a 3.5L engine) I believe it was 1.5 turns out on mine and presto that code never came back
Utah - I did adjust that torque screw on the throttle body. I backed it out 1.5 turns, and will do a datalog with it later this week. I have to charge the battery, as the cold weather and sitting for weeks on end has killed the battery.
Besides that, any other things you are doing getting ready for emissions in April? I imagine you and I have to do the same things to pass emissions.

You still have the second cat right? Isn't it enough to pass visual inspection in most shops? And if you aren't throwing a code with secondary O2 set to ON in your FP calibration, then you should be fine afaik.
My entire exhaust is custom.
I do have a magnaflow turbo catalyst. It is this spun metal that is just for surviving sitting behind a turbo.
The turbo now sits where the factory pre-cat used to reside.
