Muted Speakers

Well, today is my two-week anniversary of my '09 TSX Tech. This morning when I started the car, there was no sound out of the stereo. No matter which input, XM, FM, AM, USB, Disc, or what volume, no sound at all. I stopped and restarted the car, but still no sound. The nav voice prompts and bluetooth phone prompts also were silent - nothing at all through the speakers.

I stopped by the dealer on my way to work and he verified the problem - nothing he or his techs have seen. I made an appt for Monday morning and went to work in a very quiet car.

When I got to work, I stopped and restarted the car again and now everything is working just fine - sound from every input, nav, etc.
Maybe there's a loose connection somewhere.

Wow, that's weird! The only thing I hate more than problems are problems that 'fix themselves'

esp. on a 2 week old car! Hopefully it was just a fluke.

I'll bet somethings a little loose. Now that some driving has "reconnected it," it's going to take the tech a loooong time to find it. Probably tell you, "bring it in immediately when it does out again." :P

Same problem I have except my problem is with the backup camera...every once in a while it just decidews not to work. I have an appointment Saturday for that and some other issues....seems to me that most of us have the same problems at least I've seen several others that have had some of the problems that I have had......driver seat clip not fastened......roof rubber that goes the length of the car has come off. Actually nothing out of the ordinary with a new model.

I haven't had issues with the sound going out completely. I've just had weird sounds from the driver side speaker. I'm wondering if the speaker is blown (stupid if so, I don't play music that loud). It's being serviced now for paint flaking off so they're going to check out the speaker.

I'm just curious.. do you use the bluetooth hands free link with your phone? I've had mine cause some weird things with the audio.

Yes, I do use the bluetooth handsfree link, but I haven't had any audio problems with that. I also haven't had any more occurrences of the speakers cutting out either - hopefully whatever was loose has tightened itself
