Moonroof noise when closed

Does anyone else's 2009 TSX's moonroof make noise when closed and when the car's being jostled around a bit? I would think the insulation should prevent most of this...but it seems to have gotten louder recently.

Possibly, drop in outside temperature weakened the seal and made the noise more pronounced? I also just installed the moonroof visor, but I don't believe this is contributing.

Is it like a creaking sound? If so, its a common problem on the 1G's as well, easily fixed by applying some low-friction tape and lube. Dealer should have no problem doing this for you under warrenty.

Kinda like a creaking....I can replicate it the issue just by pressing down on the rear-portion of the glass from outside. I'll have the dealer check it out. I pressed down on some of my neighbor's moonroofs, too. Some were worse (inifiniti q35), but most seemed better (lexus is 250, old mercedes). Most of the cars seemed only a few years old.

I have experienced some slight rattle noise, but it's the moonroof cover that's the culprit when it's retracted all the way. So it's not what you've got - anyone else experienced this?

For the love of all things holy, I hope this creaking is not the same as on the 1Gs. This creaking/rattling on my 04 drives me totally insane and makes my car sound like it's falling apart, and it's embarrassing with passengers.

And yes, I've been to the dealer to get it fixed, but it didn't do anything. I try greasing it up with that Honda grease (shin etsu or something like that), but it does nothing.

I was hoping they'd have fixed this by now; this sound does not belong on a car in this price range. If Chrysler can make silent sunroofs, Honda should be able to.

I think the recent drop in outside temperature (75F to 65F) exacerbated the issue/noise. Since the temp has gone back up (75F), the noise has subdued. Could also be that I'm just keyed in to it more since i just installed my moonroof visor.

But yes, a car at this price point should have a pretty quiet cabin.

Its important to keep the weatherstrip well lubricated as well, it helps elimante alot of squeeks from the sunroof.
