Okay so I have a 2012 Acura TSX special edition 6 speed manual, so when I’m driving in 6th gear and I’m passing 3400 rpms my car goes into limp mode and it does it in lower gears depends if I’m really beating on it or not but anyway I got random misfire codes now I’ve changed the timing chain already and pulled it apart to make sure it was done right, and everything was fine. So I did some digging and found out that the VTEC solenoid can also cause this if it’s leaking I found my solenoid was leaking so I replaced both gaskets and still same issue. I plan on replacing it to see if that fixes it but I just want to know has anyone else had the same problem????

As far as I know it’s fine it’s very dirty though, think it needs a consumption test?

 

Check the oil level. Low oil level can reduce pressure in the system. Vtec works of oil pressure.
