Knocking noise from dirver side either rear or front...
Do any of you hear a faint knocking noise at low speeds coming from either the back or front of the driver's side when at low speeds or am I loosing my mind?

what year is your car? if it is 09 or early 10, I think it is engine pinging. to determine
1. turn off the radio
2. pay attention when acceleration. it most happens around 2k rpm. It only last for one or two seconds, it will go away when you keep accelerating.

Frank,
If I were to hypothesize the source of the knocking sound then I would propose that it's either a bad tie rod end, worn CV joint or a bad bushing. I know that your TSX is relatively new and consequently should not experience premature wear on any of the aforementioned components but I've seen stranger things occur.
Finally, you may want to ensure that the front or rear stabilizer bar is properly mounted to its brackets. Inspect the bushings down there as well to make sure that they aren't loose or worn (there is about 4 bushings in this area, shown in this diagram)
Good luck tracking down and resolving the issue!

Your TSX is an '09 right? You need to check the TSB's. There are several TSB's related to what you're describing. Getting the TSB's done should take care of it, especially if it's an '09...

knocking
I just got an 09 TSX CPO 3 weeks ago, after driving on a bumpy highway I started noticing the knocking noise in my car. I have only been noticing it when driving slow in a parking lot or a bumpy neighborhood road . . . Im taking it in to Acura tomorrow to see if they can fix it. Ill post what happens.

I had a similar noise coming from the front right side of my 2010 V6, this winter, only when I drove at low speed (less than 30 mph), and mostly under slight acceleration, and when it was not too cold outside.
Dealer finally "heard" it (took 2 trials), but they did not figure it out.
Then... the noise disappeared on its own, after I played with the driveshafts (I moved them axially to see how much play they had). I'll see if it comes back this winter.

I took my 09 Acura TSX to the dealer with the similar complaint of Engine knocking/pinging. The tech went on the test drive and told me that I need to start using 92+ octane fuel and not a regular one (even though the dealer told me at the time of purchase that Regular Fuel is OK for this car; but Premium is recommended) and this problem should go away after a few tanks. I have read on this website that a lot of 09 TSX customers are having similar complaints and Acura does not seem to have a fix for this.
Can anyone update what course of action can be taken in this regard?

Litigation or Class Action since so many of us are having this problem??
I think we should NOT expect any noise in $30k+ car and this is quite unfair that we are left with this problem due to manufacturer's fault. Who is going to be responsible for the excessive wear and tear of the engine?

Hi, Guys!
I have not found the solution to this problem. The car drives fine. THe noise is simply annoying to me. As soon as I get this figured out I will let you all know....perhaps it is just a design flaw in the car somewhere where it simply makes that noise at low speeds for whatever reason....?

You might also want to check the wheel bearings. My car had a whining knocking sound. I thought it was from the fuel I was using but i figured it out. They replaced it for free under warranty.
