How to reset airbag light??

Sup azine, I just upgraded my 04 tsx for a 2010 tsx with tech package & only has 27xxx miles(I will make a post to introduce myself to the 2g crowd)But the person it bought it from said he had to take the front passenger seat out to get his wife's ring. After he put it back in, the light stays on & he just never had it reset. How do i reset it my self or does it have to be done at the dealer?? thanks for any help!! please don't slam me for not doing a forum search first, we all know the search function sucks...

Try disconnecting the battery to reset the ECU?

Ooooohhhhh yeah! That reminds me also my battery terminals have some corrosion on them. I remeber from before, I think on the 1g forum. some members said their airbag lights were coming on, and the corrosion on the terminals was enough to affect the voltage & make the airbag light come on. I forgot all about that! I'll disconnect the battery & clean the terminals while I'm at it. Hopefully that will work. Thanks!!

One issue I have seen on older accords/acuras we have taken in a trade is the censor in the seatbelt going out just from wear and age. When replaced, its fixed.
Also, we had a pre-owned Honda we sold that came out of our detail dept with an airbag light on that wasn't on before. My sales guy came freaking out to me about it because his customer was about to take delivery of his vehicle.

I took it to service for him. Found out detail accidentally unplugged a connector under the seat for either seat belt sensor, OPDS censor, or side seed airbag. Long time ago so I forgot which one it was.

This may help you or be completely useless information lol. Hopefully the 1st. If you can't figure it out, I'll ask my Friend who is master tech tomorrow at my Honda Dealership.

Haha thanks. I ended up taking it into the acura dealer for an oil change/service. & they said its covered under warranty & they're gonna take a look at it. Good news to me!! In the mean time they gave me an ILX to drive around. A lot of people on here bag on it, I don't think it's all that bad! Has some good features that come with it!

Who buys a car with a warning light on? I would never accept the story about taking the seat out until I had the car checked by a tech.

I wonder what else is wrong with the car.
