Hood vibration fixed for $1.75!!

The hood on my 09 TSX has been shaking at high speeds or when there is a lot of wind. I took soon4tsx's advice and purchased 4 feet of small rubber/plastic tubing at the hardware store. I removed the rubber gasket that seals the back of the hood near the windshield. This gasket runs across the back of the engine bay from driver's side to passenger side. I made a small one inch cut in the gasket and threaded the rubber tube inside this hollow rubber gasket from one end to the other. This insert gives the rubber gasket that touches the back of the hood a lot more support and no more vibration!! I sealed the rubber gasket cut with silicone sealant and that's it.

Thanks for the suggestion soon4tsx!

Hope it does cure the Hood Vibration problem...

I am so aggravated watching the hood on a 32k car vibrate.

Will try the remedy to see if it works.
Acura should be paying attention.

Tubing size

I would suggest that you remove the rubber gasket at the back of the hood and bring it into Ace hardware to estimate the size of the tubing you will need. If you cut a small one inch hole, you can insert the tubing pretty easily. I'm really not sure what the exact size is. . .
