Homelink bezel rattling!

I've noticed lately that my homelink button bezel rattles with the vibration of the engine of the car while accelerating sometimes. Is there a simple fix for this....if its simple, I won't have to take it to the dealer. It seems to me that the buttons are a part of the bezel assembly....ad I don't want to mess up the bluetooth mic either.

Mine did the same thing. Simple fix, I cut up a couple of small pieces of an old grocery store discount card I no longer had use for and just lodged them in there on each end where the clips are on the inside. I put them in far enough where you can't see them and it firmed up the entire assembly. No more rattle.

nice fix, hopefully the bezel won't be too hard to remove if need be.
the rattle is annoying

^ I read your thread not bad. However it was much easier to remove the four screws that hold the overhead compartment to the headliner I did not want to mark up the house to where i could see it. ( Two located under the sunglass holder and one under each map lens.) Then disconnect the two plugs. I used 1mm. padding around the whole Home link assembly snapped it back together and done. No more rattle took about 30 minutes.

UPDATE:
I took it to the dealer today and they dropped the entire assemble and use foam tape in all of the gaps and its mice and quiet now!

Had the same thing, got fed up and popped the bezel with an old card in a target parking lot, got fluffy Velcro and put it on all contact points, no more rattle!

yep I did something similar....used the little round self-stick felt pieces. Pretty cheap/crappy design, I wonder if later models were fixed (I have a '10).

My new 2012 TSX has the same problem, so not fixed by then. In fact, there were three noise sources in that housing - one was my clip-on sunglasses in the holder, another was the loose Homelink button surround (removed and stuffed with soft foam behind the panel) and the third source is not identified yet, but is definitely coming from the hardware associated with the sunglass holder pivots. If I drive down a rough road, every little bump elicits a buzzzzzzzzz from that area. If I open the sunglass holder door and let it hang, or press up on the door, the noise disappears. Guess I'll have to bite the bullet and take it in to the dealer and let them have a go at it. This is my first Acura and I'm surprised that the dealers will even work with you on rattles. On my previous cars of many brands, the dealers would not address rattles and would usually say "they all do that".

To prevent glasses in the sunglass holder from rattling like crazy, I cut and shaped a piece of thick soft foam and glued it with double side tape to the inside (top) of the holder. This way, when the holder is closed with glasses inside, the foam puts light pressure on the glasses, preventing them from rattling.

It took a couple of trials with the proper shape of the foam and no more rattles from there.

I'm going to have to try this. My 2012 RDX had a compartment in the door so it didn't rattle but the TSX has it above and drives me nuts.
