Dashboard rattle / creak

'09 TSX base. When going over a nasty bump, I hear a plastic sounding rattle or creak from the dash, just left of the steering column. It sounds like its from the dash, but who knows. I noticed under the driver's seat, a plastic rail going from front to rear, on the left side. It is firmly attached at the rear of the seat, but not the front. I also notice another rattle or creak coming from the area of the glove box, also caused by a nasty bump. Coincidently, my '03 Accord has the exact same noise.

Anyone else have these noises and/or fixes ?

I get a plastic "rubbing" noise around the radio dash piece and occasional passenger front door panel noises. They are worse when its warm out but they aren't bad enough to make me take it in specifically for it just yet.

I actually have the same rattle in the dash to the left of the steering wheel. It's going to the dealer next week and I plan on having them take a look at it.

I also have a creaking sound somewhere on the dash, might be near radio/climate controls. Is this something the dealer can actually fix?

GrigioX please post your experience when you take it to the dealer. I will then make an appointment to take mine in. Thanks

Thought I had a rattle problem too. and then i realized that it was just my sunglasses in the sunglasses compartment on the top. took em out and no more rattling.

check to see if you have anything in the compartments of the car. alot of times its jsut something banging around in the compartment when youre driving.

just a suggestion

Had the same problem as danger...Took my sunglasses out and the problem went away.

I also used to keep a pen in the glovebox just in case of something...Now I don't because I can't stand the rattle it makes when I hit bumps.

For me, it's definitely not my sunglasses. I took it out to make sure, and the sound the dash makes is a "creak", not a rattle.

I traced the rattle to my instrument cluster. If I pressed on the plastic cover of the instrument cluster, the rattle wouldn't occur. Dealer said they had never seen a problem like this. Dealer "secured and insulated" the instrument cluster. I will keep you all posted.

Yeah I have the same rattle as well. It only happens on certain kinds of bumps and not often enough that I think the dealer will find it. I HATE having them looking around in the car or driving it unless I know they'll fix it. I'm not too impressed with Acura's service (both myself and everyone else's), so I'll wait til it becomes worse or I can't stand it anymore!
