Crooked hood. Could be design flaw?

So i went to the Acura dealer today to get the "A" service. I also asked them if they can check my hood because i noticed it was crooked, and their is a larger gap on the passenger side then the drivers side. I walked with the service guy to one of the new 2010 TSX V6's that was near the service area and it had the exact same gap/crooked hood. Does anyone else have this problem? The service guy said they couldn't fix, I'm debating if i should trade the car in now. Should i write a letter? i know its too late because i should have noticed it when i bought the car.

I would write a letter. This is not related to your issue but have you noticed when you drive does your hood shake a lot like it rises up a bit.

my hood used to vibrate... i dont know if this is related to your problem.. but that's one thing i noticed when i first drove the car 09 tsx.. the dealer try to adjust the rubber stopper and it worked fine... but since, this is a crooked hood.. i really don't know... sorry, just sharing one of my problems with the tsx...

I know my hood shakes/vibrates a bit. Kinda funny to watch. it isn't making any noise so I'm ok with it. It isn't crooked I know that much. However, the trunk looks like it sits a little high or is out of alignment just a bit. Every time I wash it I take notice. It still looks fine but I guess anyone with OCD and a fine tooth comb for an eye would see it. The only thing that bothers me is my driver door. When it gets really hot, it just doesn't like to open very easily. I feel like I'm going to rip the handle off before it comes open. Maybe thats another alignment issue. Maybe it's sagging a bit?

Tannis, you might want to search around the forum... I recall some people having an issue with the door handle and getting it replaced under warranty.

As for the hood vibrating, I notice it if I go over a really bad bump, or if I'm looking for it on purpose. The way that it springs up and down makes me think something's wrong with my eyes.

craziest thing. i has just read this thread at work and later in the day was on the turnpike with my bro and he starts asking what the heck is wrong with my hood. it too was bouncing and vibrating like crazy. i never noticed it before cause i sit as low as possible. is it just the rubber stops not being in the right position?

More or less, yes.

IMO this is a common design flaw in a handful of cars. I had the same "vibrating hood" with my 2003 Maxima, but not my '95 Maxima. Until my hood flies up in my windshield, I am not too worried about it.

On the other hand, I believe new rubber stops or an adjustment should do the trick.

Thanks! Figured it would be covered. Just haven't been motivated enough to say anything to the dealer. I'll hit 'em up later today. When the sun comes up. lol!

I noticed on my Black 2010 TSX the hood shaking around on the highway today and made a pitstop for the Acura dealer. They tried turning the rubber grommits under the hood. So they said.. oh .. try that. I think they made it worse! I need to go back again ARGH!!!
