brake squealing that goes away after a few stops
The brakes on my 2009 TSX have started to squeal for the first 4 or 5 stops, then the noise goes away. The situation tyically occurs after the car has been sitting for a few hours. Anyone else have this problem? What is the fix? Thanks!

Brake squealing is very common on vehicles with disk brakes.
It is even more common on the higher end brake kits. Such as, Brembo and StopTech, etc.
There is no real "fix" for it. Basically, a brake pad is rubbing against a metal disk. It's going to squeal at times.
Further, you can get other higher quality brake pads that will reduce and/or limit the squealing.

WTH happened to my garage
Even a light rain will rust rotors on any car after it sits. Certain makes and brake types like varrius is talking about are worse.
Even when my old Lightning was brand new it sounded like the garbage truck you can hear a block away that reminds you that you forgot to take the garbage out the night before.
There's a line of oe replacement pads called Friction Performance that are really quiet and low dusting and they work well from cold to normal operating temps.

According to Acura, no fix. it is normal.................... call HQ 1-800-382-2238 and complaint. My friend Chen got his brake for free after the call, but the dealer said it was not going to solve the problem. the noise was to come back, :"Acura is investigating"

My 2016 GLC 300 brakes would squeak in reverse when cold. It took MB awhile but they came out with new rotors and pads to fix the issue. If you've ever run your finger around the top edge of wine glass to make it "sing" you have a similar high frequency vibration issue when brakes squeak. Replacing pads and rotors with the same part number is most likely a temporary fix and will return. Sanding the rotors is also a temporary fix; it just temporarily changes the vibration frequency between the pads and rotor. Most performance/track pads squeak loudly when cold. Several vigorous stops in reverse will sometimes fix the problem, but its a design issue. Different after market brake pads and rotors might solve the problem, but Acura needs to determine if different pads, rotors or both are needed. Porsche adds a vibration damper to their pads to minimize/eliminate brake squeak.
