Hi everyone i just signed papers for a 2007 acura tsx 6MT with navi 19k miles
its a CPO car but the dealer offered an extended warranty 4/48k for $1695
since its CPO its covered for 1yr/12k and its got so few miles on it...
was wondering is it worth buying the warranty?
what is everyone paying for warranty now a days?

Depends on the warranty itself. Is it an exclusionary warranty? Does it only cover certain parts or is it fairly comprehensive? If it is the latter, I would certainly pay for it as that is a pretty good deal in my opinion. I would really look over the warranty and what it includes and I mean REALLY look it over. Good luck.

 

I think the standard mfg warranty is solid, and I wouldn't pay for an extended warranty, but to each his own. It all depends on your comfort level.

I know the complete history of my car; you don't. CPO aside, for some that's reason enough to get the extended warranty.

Overall though, TSX's hold up well, and unless it's a lemon, you're probably ok without it.

IMO it sounds kinda high for only 4yrs/48k miles.
I own a 06 6MT tsx, bought new 11/06. I did not get any extended warranty and the factory one expired when my car was 18 months old (50K miles). It now has almost 122K problem free miles-excellent car. Does the car have any factory warranty left-check that out.
