Replacing my right front fender...
Hello guys, it's such a nice community here...I am a newbie in this forum.
I went to a painful accident last winter when the snow pile was as high as myself. My car slipped and went to the snow pile at the right side of my drive way. The snow was fine, but my right fender wasn't. It has been flat since then, and I tried many dent removel tools to make it look even worse...
I went to the body shop and they asks for $1000 for replacing it, they told me I have to do a color match...
I have a question for you guys:
My car is less than one year old (purchased in Aug, 2010), in fact I just did my first oil change last week (5600 miles)... Is it really necessary to do a color match for replacing the fender??

The dent looks so painful when I walk by my car every time, but 1000 seems too high for only a fender. The OEM part is only about 200 and I am considering replacing it by myself, but I may make it look even more worse than now...
Anyways, thanks for any advice you may have.
Regards,
