Bent Control Arm

Hi all

I took my 2009 TSX in for B1 service today (~36250 miles). I got a call saying the front left tire was oddly warn and they suggested an alignment. During the process, they found that the control arm was bent and needs to be replaced. It must have been a pothole during the winter.

Any estimates on about how much this would cost? They quoted me ~$500 but want your opinions on this. I'm clueless as to what is reasonable.

Thanks

I'm guessing you already did the repair, but it was $4xx when I had the same thing done on my 04 last year.

I would say just look for part, and try to replace yourself. I replaced one on a 98 240sx not to long ago. Not a hard replacement. Just a thought.

if you're not mechanically inclined, i'd get someone else to do it. you can pay the $500 for the dealer, or you can purchase the part yourself and bring it to your trusted mechanic for the labor. this will come out to be cheaper.
