Noticed now on several occasions when I hurry up and back up the back up camera sometimes doesn't engauge. When I shut the car off and start it back up it works fine. My TLS NEVER had or has this problem... Took it to the dealer and they said OF COURSE "We can't duplicate the problem." Anybody else experience this?

 

This has happened to me maybe once or twice before; I assume its just a glitch.

 

It happened to me as well. few times. you will need to turn off the car and start it again. i agreed it is a glitch. Don't waste your time to bring this back to dealer. They will 100% tell you eveything is normal.

I have to disagree. The few times my backup camera didn't come on (it happened a few times right after I bought the car and hasn't happened since, almost 2 years now *knock on wood*) is well worth the 1,000 times it has worked and has proven itself to be invaluable!

 

This happened to me once. I just turned the car off and on again and it worked fine after that. It never happened since.

 

Well this never happened to me in my TLS on the 3+ yrs I have owned it.. NEVER! The TSX is overall poor build quality..trading in for a Audi S4!!!!

GbosilTLS07, we also have an 07 TL-S and a 2010 TSX V6 TECH and agree 100%. The TL-S is a much better car. We've had many problems with the TSX, including a leaking sunroof (filed and settled a lemon claim through an attorney), steering wheel radio controls sometimes don't work, back-up camera sometimes doesn't work, numerous rattles and squeaks, trunk leaks after washing car, hard cold starts, clunk when starting (apparently normal, but is very embarrassing). The TSX is the worst Acura/Honda product we've ever owned and we've owned many over the years. While they were trying to fix the TSX, we had a 2010 TL, 2010 RDX and 2010 ZDX and all sucked. The rear bumber trim fell off the RDX and the car was never hit, no impacts at all. The ZDX was a dog, I had to floor it constantly. The leather dash didn't justify the cost. The RDX was very un-refined and felt under-powered. I would never pay 38K for that piece of cra*. The 2010 TL was by far the ugliest car inside and out I ever drove. I had each car about a week as loaners so had ample time to judge. The TSX is the last Acura/Honda product for us.

 

I 100% agree!!! Thanks for the reply! I am not loosing my mind or going crazy here! Squeaks, door closing.... sounds like a sardine can! WTF!! Acura better step up their game or will be left in the dust by the competitors! Oh yeah... the new TL is awful fugly!!!!

 

Our 07 TL-S is also ASM. Very sharp car! Wish we could buy another one. We're going to test drive the IS350 AWD this weekend. We've decided to dump the TSX before something else fails, like the rear brakes, but aren't 100% sure what to buy yet. It's sad since I love how the TSX V6 drives, very powerfull, but it just isn't built very well.

 

The Lexus IS is a very sharp car and superior in build quality to the TSX. I am also going to test drive it too this weekend. I think Acura has been cutting corners lately and their design team is smoking crack! I had that ZDX as a loaner last week... WTF is it ? ? ? God awful ugly and no room inside ? ? ?

 

This happens to me at least once a month. I've owned my Tsx Tech since May 2008. I noticed this first happen roughly in August of 08. I think it is caused from switching the gear into reverse too fast before the navigator system computer can process the information. I've asked a few times about this and they never find any code issues for the problem. I think it's just a glitch as well that happens when we reverse too fast.
