Acura can't locate a brake modulator
2010 v-6 tsx has a brake modulator that failed. Been in the shop for 3 weeks now but Acura can't say when they will receive replacement. Only that it is backordered. Part costs near 2k. I know they don't make tsx anymore and the car is 7 years old but is it reasonable to take this long to locate a part? Any suggestions? Dealership is calling everyday to the Acura parts department but nothing changes.

Personally if it was me, I would order one from Ebay for $575 and let the shop know that you will be supplying the part, since they cannot. Obviously, they cannot warranty a part that you supplied, but you will get your vehicle back quicker and cheaper.

Don't know if there is one, but have you tried to x-ref to the Honda part # and check availability of that one?

Believe it or not since our cars are so jdm yo, it can be seen for uncommonly failing parts to take a while for stealerships to get.
