2013 TSX and bluetooth problem

Recently, discovered that our 2013 TSX is having Bluetooth problems. I am not sure if the issues are related to iPhones and iOS 10 at this point (there were some early Bluetooth problems with iOS 10 and iPhone 7's but our iPhones are not 7), so perhaps anyone here could chime in a bit. I tried 3 different phones (two iPhone 6S and one iPhones 6), all running the latest 10.1.1 iOS and the problem exists across all.

There is a constant static noise generated when on a call, but the thing is, the noise is only audible to the person that is not in the car, but on the other side, meaning, everything sounds perfect while in the car, but people on the other side keep hearing constant static noise. Bluetooth audio streaming works just fine, including controls (track up and down etc).

Does this look like a iOS software issue or is the Bluetooth in the car going bad?

I appreciate any insights on this matter.

My 2013 TSX is a victim of the bluetooth issue where the signal cuts in and out constantly. It seems so trivial, but it's infuriating.

Are you using the same charger while calling? Some low quality cell phone chargers add static and hum. Try it without charging while talking, or try a different charger.

If you aren't charging while calling, you can ignore this part of the comment.

Are you calling the same person from all three phones? Maybe its them.

Again, if not, you can ignore this part of my comment.

IF not to both, just ignore me.

So I took the car for service to address my issue. Fast forward few days later and it is all fixed. It turned out that the microphone for Bluetooth went bad or staticky and had to be replaced. I already tested the car with two different phones and in both cases things were working just fine.

If anyone care, the part number that was replaced is 39180-TX6-A01.

As a bonus, I also scored a new battery as the one we had didn't pass the load test and the dealer offered to replace it under warranty. Overall, pretty happy with the outcome.

I have the same issue when I purchased the car from Carmax week ago. I took it to Carmax they are going to replace the bluetooth module. When playing Audio or on a call it would cut in and out very annoying.

I'm suprised Acura/Honda still have issues with the modules. My 2006 Acura TL had the booting issue and if you left your battery would drain...

I made a thread with the fix for bluetooth issues, but wanted to post here as well. My TSX has been having tons of issues after upgrading my 6S+ to iOS10. It seems like Apple has a bug in iOS10 that they need to fix. After changing some settings my bluetooth issues have been resolved.
Here is what you need to do:
-First delete all your old phones from your car's Hands Free Link and perform forget this device on your iPhone for the HandsFreeLink
-On your iPhone go to Settings>General>Accessibility>Call Audio Routing = pick Headset instead of the default Automatic
