2011 TSX – Fuel Door Actuator Buzzing When Unlocking Doors
Looking for some help diagnosing an issue with my 2011 Acura TSX (sedan, non-Sport Wagon).
When I unlock the doors, I hear a loud buzzing noise coming from the fuel door area. It doesn't make any noise when locking the doors. I removed the interior trim near the fuel door and can see the actuator lever moving when locking and unlocking, but I don’t see any motion at the fuel door itself. It stays in the open position all the time.
To me, it sounds like the actuator motor is running but maybe jammed, stripped, or not engaging the actual locking mechanism. If the actuator is dying, I’d like to just disconnect it so it doesn’t keep buzzing, but I haven’t found any good diagrams or service instructions to show how to safely do that or what else might be involved.

I've uploaded 2 images:
- One showing the actuator movement when locking/unlocking
- One showing the fuel door mechanism itself
- A bad actuator motor
- A stuck or broken linkage
- Or something else entirely
