2009 TSX no start/electrical or igniton switch?
Here's the short version-
I have a no start condition where it used to intermittently not start and the lights on the dash would flicker. 5 mins later it would start up. The last time it did that it wouldn't start at all.
I figure it's the starter, replace it in the safeway parking lot. It starts up and I get it home but theres hesitation when giving it gas on the freeway. Which it never had before.
I let it sit for a few months because didnt want to get stuck and have to be towed. Then a week ago I went out and jumped It drove about 10 miles put fresh gas in but was still hesitating. Try again yesterday to get it into the shop and it wont start or jump.
The battery isn't brand new but it's not very old either.
I put another newer battery in with more cranking amps amd still this same thing happens.
so I know the voltage isn't in the 12's where it should be but here's the scoop.
This morning
9.40 steady on terminals
2.0 volts still on chassis after negative disconnected
10.25 battery voltage with negative disconnected
7.80 after reconnecting negative terminal
8.70 after a minute goes by
5.90 with key put into ignition
8.60 after a minute goes by
4.50 turn to on position
6.80 off position
8.30 climbs up after a few minutes go by
5.80 after pulling key out
8.30 steady after about 15 minutes
Any ideas before I have to pay towing and take it to the dealer would be greatly appreciated.
