2009 TSX Center Console

Hi fellas,

First post. Be gentle.

Got some change stuck in behind the door of the ashtray/lighter section of my tsx. I have looked all over for a tutorial or vid on how to remove that section.

Can someone point me in the right direction ?

I would start by looking for the instructions on installing the interior trim. There is a section in those instructions that show you how to remove the center console panel (drink holders and transmission area).

Then, I'd use some sort of trim tool to see if I could remove the suede "not an ashtray" box. In other old Hondas, you can remove that and then unscrew the entire "not an ashtray" and power outlet.

If I understand you correctly you have a coin stuck to where you can't push down the lid to "unclick" it and make it open???

My wife did the same thing. All I did was use a small knife and pryed the lid open right at the latch. It will pop loose without damaging anything.

BTW, the coin holder is on the left side of the wheel. Use that one and you won't have a problem.

Hey Ed, I have a 2010 TSX and basically joined the forum to get the pdf you have on how to remove the "not an ashtray" because I have not found anything else terribly useful in the whole world wide interwebs on the subject after much searching.
