2009 TSX (Auto) Will not start

My TSX will not start!

When the key is in the ignition in position II, all the lights and appliances function normally. When attempting to start, the car acts as if I pulled the key out. No sound is made, everything turns off, engine does not do anything.

It has been sitting out in the cold ~-10 - 25 degrees for about 5 days and through about 6 inches of snow.

Any ideas or suggestions?

Interesting dilemma. I'd start with the easiest stuff first. Even though the incidentals turn on, the battery may not have enough energy to start the car. It's old enough, and with taking the history of Acura batteries into account, that's not a stretch. Charge it if you can; if not, then perhaps a jump start. Do you have AAA? (I'll assume your road side assistance has lapsed)(used to be 4/50, don't know what it is now). If it is the battery, I'd suggest replacing it (might want to do that anyway....).

^best advice above

I had a different car that had the same issue. The headlights and ICE worked fine. The car even cranked like normal but wouldn't catch. I used one of those jumpstart powerpacks (apparently a POS one), it wouldn't catch. One new battery later...started right up.

Your problem sounds very similar to a problem I had when I first bought the car. It was nothing but a blow fuse, but the fuse that controls the instrument cluster, in position number 7. This fuse is locate in the fuse panel by your left foot rest.

If it's the battery, you will hear a clicking sound when trying to crank the car on...unless your battery is completly kapoot.
