Exclamation 09 TSX Trunk Leak

Hey, i remembered reading about this a while ago can't seam to find it again though. I notice that when it rains or anytime my car is wet, when i open my trunk water drips right into my trunk. Although its not a lot of water its still unnecessary moisture. Idk if its sliding right off my trunk into the car or if its collecting somewhere and then when i open the trunk it just all pours into the car.

Is anyone else experiencing this? Any TSB? Any fixes?

Ahh, grasshopper, the answer you seek is in your signature.

Deck lid spoiler.

J/K, of course, but my 1st deck lid spoiler did not adhere properly (dealer installed) & they replaced it under warranty. My car did the same thing, water leaked into the hollow rear section of the deck lid and it poured out when I opened the trunk.

I was *very disappointed* to learn (after the installation) the deck lid spoiler installation required drilling holes *inboard* of the trunk seal.

I have the same problem with my 09 TSX. My dealer states they will need it all day to investigate even though I have told them exactly what the problem is.

of course you should. this should be a warranty item so there's no sense in doing anything else.

Was it dealer installed? That was their first question. In my case, they put it on before I took delivery.

If it was not dealer installed, they'd probably tell you to fix it yourself.

The 94-01 Integra, for example, had existing hole tabs *outside* the hatch seal, so when it *did* start leaking, it didn't go in the hatch or the hatch area. If I knew this lip spoiler attached like it does, I wouldn't have purchased it.

Honestly i dont know. I am the 3rd owner. I think it is though, cause the first owner was a dealer and the 2nd guy was to old to do anything to the car anyways.
